Encore Ensenada!

After my last visit to Ensenada about two years I was ready to go back for a return visit.  That opportunity came this past weekend.  Eighteen artists and art supporters gathered last Friday for the bus ride to Ensenada.  The travel was full of adventure from start to finish.  I was privileged to have work in the two exhibits mounted by Mark Schooley, Riverside Community Art Association Director. Mark solo show at Terra Peninsular along with "Nature's Way, showcasing works by Plein Aire Painters of Riverside.
The first reception was Friday night at Galeria de la Ciudad in the Riviera Cultural Center.  "The Celebaration of Goddesses"  a triptych was part of this "The Road of Art" exhibit.

The highlights of this travel was our group visiting and receiving blessings from the Sherman of the Indegenous Kumiay tribe in the outskirt of San Antonio Nucua.  The burning of white sage under an old live oak tree and learning about their way of life was spiritual and lifting!

We had a great fellowships of getting to know fellow artists and art friends...ate, drank, explore and ate more.  In spite of our travel challenges, the unanimous voice was when do we go back!!!  I am missing Ensenada and logging for the next visit...
What has been your special artistic travel or en-devour this summer...please fell free to share!
